DAK organizes training on European accreditation practices

The General Directorate of Accreditation (GAC), in cooperation with TAIEX, an Instrument of the European Commission, is organizing (on June 18 and 19) a two-day professional training on the accreditation process and the functioning of Conformity Assessment Bodies.

The training will be held by experts from the Italian Accreditation Agency (Accredia), Michela Signorini and Emidio Feles, and aims to introduce European Union legislation, European best practices and the European Organization for Cooperation in Accreditation (EA).

On this occasion, Irfan Lipovica, Director General of DAK, emphasized that the special focus of this training is the construction products sector, where representatives of DAK, relevant institutions, conformity assessment bodies, as well as business associations and chambers of commerce are participating.

According to Lipovica, the activity aims to strengthen professional capacities and align accreditation practices in Kosovo with those of the European Union.

He appreciated the Accredia experts and at the same time encouraged the participants to present and elaborate on best accreditation practices, which will be adapted to European accreditation.
